About Greg Corfield

Greg Corfield is the founder of Breath & Awareness Studio in St Albans, Melbourne, where he facilitates breathwork sessions designed to help people regulate their nervous system, improve breathing patterns, and reconnect with their body and awareness.

Greg’s work in breathwork follows over 15 years of corporate experience working with people, behaviour, and performance.

Earlier in his career, Greg worked extensively in the corporate environment, helping individual and organisations better understand personality, behaviour, and emotional dynamics within teams. His work included delivering workshops and development programs focused on emotional intelligence, resilience, personality dynamics, leadership behaviour, and human performance.

Alongside his corporate work, Greg was also deeply involved in the personal development field. He spent many years participating in and helping organise transformational workshops focused on self-awareness, emotional growth, and personal responsibility, working with programs delivered across Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.

Through both corporate and personal development work, Greg began to notice a common theme: many of the challenges people faced — stress, emotional reactivity, burnout, and lack of clarity — were closely connected to the way the nervous system was functioning.

This realisation eventually led him to breathwork.

Greg completed the Breathwork Instructor Course through Breathless Academy, under the guidance of breathwork teacher Johannes Egberts.

This professional training is recognised by organisations including the International Breathwork Foundation, the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine, and the CPD Certification Service, reflecting a commitment to professional standards in breathwork facilitation.

Greg’s Approach

Greg’s sessions are designed to be calm, practical, and accessible. Through guided breathing techniques and a supportive environment, participants learn to work with their breath in a way that helps regulate the nervous system, reconnect with the body, and develop healthier breathing patterns.

At its core, Greg’s work is guided by a simple idea:

Improve your breathing, and you improve how you feel, think, and move through life.
